Guests of the spa are served gourmet doggie treats and rest on faux mink stoles.  The spa joins a growing trend: luxury pet accomodations. Take, for example, the Hotel Pennsylvania, which hosted numerous dogs and their owners during the recent Westminister Kennel Club Dog Show. The owner of one lucky <a href="http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/13857769.htm">pug</a> requested a red carpet for the dog's arrival and ordered seven McDonald's cheeseburgers (<em>Super Size Me </em>anyone?). <![CDATA[Sadly, Little Mo, mascot for Big Spring High School, died from cancer recently. Happily, there is a <a href="http://www.cumberlink.com/articles/2006/03/08/news/news28.txt">picture of her</a> in the wagon she used to sit in at football games. Little Mo proudly rode the sidelines during the ballgame in her wagon, at least during the first part of the game. According to her owners, Little Mo fell asleep during the first quarter and stayed snoozing until they loaded her into the car to return home.  Who knew little red wagons were so comfortable.]]>

<![CDATA[If you ask me, all pugs deserve to be written about; but usually, there is something other than their mere  existence that inspires a publisher to put forth an article and picture.  Not so in the case of Big, the <a href="http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5478,18041339%255E662,00.html">little black pug</a>.  As far as I can tell, the only thing Big did was replace the family's previous pug after it was killed by a car. Lucky for Big, she is freaking adorable so her non-story is getting republished here. The DVD-ROM allows viewers to select a virtual english bulldog (among other breeds). Once the smooshed beauty is selected, you can take it out in the yard, pet it, feed it and train it. <![CDATA[He's no Loretta (bulldog star of this site), but 9-month-old <a href="http://www.petownersonline.com/fulladview.php?id=539&amp;section=1">Reggie the bulldog</a> won the award for best looking dog in all of Britain.  Reggie beat over 11,500 other contestants for the top prize (a year's supply of dog food).  According to contest judges, they also took into account Reggie's winning personality when awarding him the distinguished honor. We'd suggest they hold the contest in the U.S., but I think we all know who'd win it here. (Loretta. Loretta would win it here. Geez.)]]>
