Even back when I was very young I loved making art. I especially liked drawing and still do. I drew people, and trees, and houses, and rivers, but I have always loved drawing animals most of all. I have drawn all my dogs and my other pets too. A few years ago I watched a Bob Ross painting video with my family and I wanted to learn to paint just like him. I tried painting a few landscapes but I never enjoyed it, and they never turned out as well as I imagined. Then one day when I had almost completely given up on painting I tried painting my dog Blanche. I had so much fun painting her and because of that it turned out much better then any of my landscapes. Ever since I have been pulling up photos of my dogs to paint and draw. It is so much fun for me that I would like to share the joy I have of making pet portraits with others.
